Documentation Copywriter

We’re looking for a Documentation Copywriter to join our shopVOX team! This is a part-time contract position (1099).

As the Documentation Copywriter, you'll create step-by-step guides and how-to articles about shopVOX and its many features. Each tutorial will also contain annotated screenshots and will be uploaded to our Help Center where shopVOX users can access and search for help documentation.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently, while handling multiple tasks and maintaining close attention to detail

- Familiarity with the graphics industry such as signage, apparel, and print shops

- Familiarity with shopVOX and/or shopVOX PRO

- Familiarity with photo editing software such as PhotoShop or image annotation software such as SnagIt

- Ability to work remotely


- For the past 12 years, shopVOX has been helping sign, print, and apparel shops run their businesses more effectively with our all-in-one web-based business management software.

- Updating 400+ training articles and how-to guides to be consistent with the new shopVOX PRO UI/UX

- Capturing screenshots and adding image annotations. Replacing existing screenshots within the articles as needed

- Updating internal and external links within the articles

- Writing clear and concise step-by-step instructions for customers to easily follow

- All articles should be consistent with shopVOX branding guidelines, using language that relates to our customer base

- The layout of each article should follow a consistent, professional look and feel so it is easy to navigate


Our entire team works remotely - so you can work from the comfort of your home office. As long as you’ve got a fast, reliable internet connection - we’re all good.

Compensation: This is a part-time 1099 contractor position
